Job Summary
Leading complex legal cases, the full-time Mississippi Licensed Insurance Defense Partner will manage casework from start to finish, supervise teams, and advise clients while contributing to the firm's growth and operational needs, with flexibility for remote, hybrid, or in-office work arrangements.
Key responsibilities:
- Advise clients on business transactions and legal rights, managing cases through all stages including pleadings and trial preparation
- Represent clients in court, conducting jury selection, arguing motions, and presenting cases to judges and juries
- Conduct legal research and draft substantial legal documents, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in general liability/insurance defense
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in Mississippi (additional states a plus)
- Experience in negotiations and mediations
- Strong analytical and research skills
