Job Summary
Seeking a Mississippi Licensed Obesity Medicine Physician for a full-time remote role, this position will manage direct patient care focused on evidence-based obesity treatment and chronic weight management while collaborating with a supportive care team.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and treatment planning for obesity management, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols
- Participate in a rotating after-hours call schedule and contribute to quality improvement efforts within the obesity medicine program
- Assist in the professional development of advanced practice professionals by fostering clinical growth and offering feedback
Required qualifications
- MD or DO degree with board certification; must be an American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) diplomate or board certified in Endocrinology
- Active medical licensure in Mississippi, Missouri, or Alabama, with multi-state practice capability preferred
- Experience conducting telemedicine visits with strong interpersonal skills
- Prior experience working collaboratively with advanced practice professionals and registered dietitians
- Bilingual candidates with medical fluency in Spanish are highly preferred
