Job Summary
To improve health outcomes for Mississippians, the full-time Mississippi Prevention Health Specialist will educate members and providers on preventive health services, ensure compliance with guidelines, and manage outreach programs while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Execute and monitor Quality or Preventive Health Programs, ensuring members receive necessary outreach and educational materials
- Participate in quarterly Quality Improvement and population health management workgroups, and facilitate annual evaluation reports
- Contact eligible members and providers to discuss preventive care needs and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare, community health, or a related field
- Preferred experience in managed care organizations and data analytics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Familiarity with state and federal healthcare regulations
