Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle, the full-time remote Missouri Licensed Clinical Appeal Writer will audit medical necessity justifications for air transport, manage appeals for government payors, and ensure compliance with established clinical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits of medical necessity appeals and advocate for patients and the organization
• Ensure timely processing of appeals and maintain the appeals database
• Collaborate with the Appeal team to address clinical denials and optimize claim reimbursements

Required qualifications

• Current RN licensure is required
• Minimum of five years of experience in Emergency Department, ICU, or related fields
• Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent is preferred
• CFRN, CEN, or CCRN certifications are preferred
