Job Summary
Seeking a Missouri Licensed Coding Auditor, the part-time Coding Quality Audit Inpatient Coordinator will conduct quality assurance coding audits, provide real-time education, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines while working remotely for 24 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Completes timely and accurate quality assurance coding audits in accordance with IPPS using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10 PCS Coding Classification Systems
- Develops and delivers focused coding education and training plans to address areas at risk and improve coding compliance outcomes
- Serves as a subject matter expert, participating in committees and project teams to support process improvement and issue resolution
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years of inpatient coding experience in a hospital environment
- Certification as RHIT, RHIA, or CCS
- Experience with ICD-10-CM and ICD-10 PCS Coding Classification Systems
- Ability to develop educational materials and training plans for coding staff
