Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr Inpatient Coding Specialist (Full Time) Days.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical record documentation for accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures
• Assign appropriate diagnoses/procedure codes following ethical coding standards and guidelines
• Maintain knowledge of coding classification systems and relevant regulations

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma required
• Minimum of 3 years coding experience in ICD-10-CM and HCPCS/CPT coding
• Certifications such as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CIRCC required or to be obtained within 6 months
• Working knowledge of MS-DRGs, APCs, MPFS/RVUs, POAs, and HACs
• Preferred education includes an A.S. or B.S. in Health Information Technology or Management
