Job Summary

To support a growing health information management team, the full-time Missouri Licensed Inpatient Coder will assign diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient encounters while adhering to regulatory guidelines and collaborating with various departments, with eligibility for remote work in select states.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately abstract data elements and assign codes in a timely manner
• Stay current on coding conventions, regulatory guidelines, and updates
• Review and analyze patient encounters for compliant coding and query providers for clarification as needed

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certification in coding (CCS, CCA, RHIA, or RHIT)
• No prior experience required
