Job Summary

To support a growing health information management team, the full-time Missouri Licensed Inpatient Coder II will assign diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient encounters, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately abstract data elements and assign codes in a timely manner
• Stay current with coding conventions, regulatory guidelines, and BJC coding guidance
• Review and analyze patient encounters, collaborating with providers and departments for coding compliance

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of inpatient hospital coding experience
• Certification as CCS, RHIA, or RHIT
• No supervisory experience required
