Missouri Licensed K-9 Handler

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Missouri Licensed K-9 Handler will support investigations by detecting specific substances with a trained K9, maintain canine training and health, and submit required reports while being on-call for assigned hours.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a trained K9 to detect specific substances or items during investigations
• Maintain high levels of canine training and health, ensuring readiness for deployment
• Submit required K-9 Handler reports and evaluations while staying informed on canine training techniques and relevant legislation

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years of related experience and/or training
• Basic dog handling and training skills
• Ability to observe K9 behavior and recognize common canine health issues
• Knowledge of canine anatomy and breed standards
