Job Summary

A company is looking for a Peer Recovery Support Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts substance misuse assessments and develops recovery and treatment plans using motivational interviewing techniques
• Collaborates with members to create behavioral routines and assists in developing empowerment skills
• Identifies community resources to support individual goals and interests

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of experience working with vulnerable populations with chronic or complex bio-psychosocial needs
• Peer Recovery Support Certification required
• Must have completed 60 contact hours of peer recovery-focused education and training
• Must have six hours of ethics education and training and six hours of HIV/other pathogens education and training within the last six years
