Missouri Licensed Prior Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the Infusion Pharmacy Team, the full-time Missouri Licensed Prior Authorization Specialist will manage the financial clearance process by obtaining necessary authorizations and ensuring accurate patient data while working remotely during standard business hours, Monday through Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Validate patient information, scheduled services, and insurance details to ensure accurate authorization data in medical records
• Communicate professionally with provider offices, insurance companies, and patients to facilitate the authorization process
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support authorization for various services across multiple BJC hospitals

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in prior authorizations or a related field
• Preferred: Associate's Degree
• Preferred: 5-10 years of experience in healthcare authorization processes
• Licensure: CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) preferred
