Job Summary

Working remotely in the Greater St. Louis area, the full-time Missouri Licensed Prior Authorization Specialist will manage the financial clearance process by obtaining necessary authorizations and ensuring accurate patient data entry, while providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.

Key responsibilities

• Validate patient information, scheduled procedures, and insurance details to ensure accurate authorization records
• Communicate professionally with provider offices, insurance companies, and patients to facilitate the authorization process
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support authorization for various services across multiple BJC hospitals

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in healthcare or patient access
• Knowledge of insurance carriers and Medicare guidelines
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive position with a constant state of alertness
• Preferred: Associate's Degree and 5-10 years of experience
