Missouri Licensed Prior Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

To support the financial clearance process, the full-time Missouri Licensed Prior Authorization Specialist will work remotely to obtain necessary authorizations and ensure accurate patient data is maintained, while facilitating insurance validation and pre-certification for scheduled services.

Key responsibilities

• Validate patient, scheduled service, and insurance information to ensure accurate authorization details are recorded
• Communicate professionally with provider offices, insurance companies, and patients to facilitate the authorization process
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support Ancillary Authorization, Surgery Authorization, and Notice of Admission processes

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in authorization or patient access
• CHAA certification preferred
• Associate's Degree preferred
• Experience with insurance carriers and Medicare guidelines
