Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Missouri Licensed Prior Authorization Specialist will manage the authorization process for patient admissions, ensuring accurate data collection and communication with healthcare providers and insurance companies.

Key responsibilities

• Validate patient information, scheduled services, and insurance details to ensure accurate authorization data is recorded
• Communicate professionally with provider offices and insurance companies while providing excellent customer service to patients
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support authorization processes for outpatient services and surgical procedures

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in a healthcare or authorization role
• Knowledge of insurance carriers, Medicare guidelines, and accreditation standards
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with a constant state of alertness
• CHAA certification preferred
