Job Summary
A company is looking for an RN-Professional Coding & Quality Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure coding accuracy, quality assurance, compliance functions, and charge appropriateness
- Perform chart reviews to verify that medical records reflect the patient's level of service based on E/M guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians to clarify documentation and provide education and support to staff
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or a compact state RN license
- Coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care or office setting
- Attendance at required educational seminars related to coding/reimbursement
- Must reside in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, or Oklahoma if working from home
