Job Summary
To support a multidisciplinary team in providing quality care for stroke patients, the part-time Missouri Licensed RN Telestroke will utilize established stroke protocols via a telemedicine platform, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality while performing data collection across multiple hospitals.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based care for stroke patients throughout the continuum of care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement established stroke protocols
- Maintain professional accountability for patient care and ensure confidentiality of patient information
Required qualifications:
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
- Two years of recent direct patient care experience in Neurology, Adult Med/Surg, or Emergency Department settings
- Current Missouri RN licensure with multi-state licensure required within six months of hire
- BLS certification and NIHSS certification required within one month of hire; Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) within three years
- Ability to independently prioritize demands in a dynamic environment and demonstrate understanding of stroke therapies
