Job Summary
Working full-time during the day, a Missouri Licensed RN Telestroke will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality stroke care through telemedicine, ensuring adherence to established protocols and maintaining patient confidentiality across multiple hospitals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based stroke care and support throughout the patient continuum via telemedicine
- Maintain professional accountability for patient care and uphold patient rights and confidentiality
- Collect and analyze data related to stroke patients to ensure best practices are followed
Required qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
- At least 2 years of recent direct patient care experience in neurology, adult med/surg, or emergency settings
- Current Missouri RN licensure with multi-state licensure required within 6 months of hire
- BLS certification and NIHSS certification within one month of hire; Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) within 3 years of hire
- Ability to independently practice and prioritize in a dynamic healthcare environment
