Job Summary
Working full-time during the day in a remote capacity, the Missouri Licensed RN Telestroke will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide quality care and support for stroke patients via a telemedicine platform, ensuring adherence to established protocols and best practices.
Key responsibilities
- Manage patient care for stroke patients throughout the continuum, ensuring quality support and data collection across multiple hospitals
- Maintain professional accountability for patient care and uphold patient rights and confidentiality
- Collaborate effectively with team members to implement evidence-based practices in stroke care
Required qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
- Minimum of 2 years recent direct patient care experience with Neurology patients in an acute care setting
- Current Missouri State Licensure as an RN, with multi-state licensure required within 6 months of hire
- BLS certification and NIHSS certification required within one month of hire; Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) certification required within three years of hire
- Demonstrated understanding of stroke pathophysiology and special therapies
