Job Summary
Working full-time during the day in a remote capacity, the Missouri Licensed RN Telestroke will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care and support for stroke patients via telemedicine, ensuring quality practices and data collection across multiple hospitals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide quality care and support for stroke patients throughout their treatment continuum using established protocols
- Maintain professional accountability for patient care, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld
- Collaborate effectively with team members to implement best practices and facilitate data collection for stroke management
Required qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of recent direct patient care experience in Neurology, Adult Med/Surg, or Emergency Department settings
- Current Missouri State Licensure as an RN, with a temporary permit or multi-state licensure required within 6 months of hire
- BLS certification and NIHSS certification required within one month of hire; Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) within three years of hire
- Demonstrated understanding of stroke pathophysiology and special therapies, with strong communication and collaboration skills
