Missouri Licensed Utilization Review Nurse

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Utilization Review Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret diagnostic test results to assess appropriateness of patient care levels
• Utilize Interqual Criteria to determine the level of care for elective inpatient hospitalizations
• Educate medical providers on the appropriate and cost-effective use of health care resources

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of RN experience caring for hospitalized patients
• 2 years of Utilization Review experience assessing hospital admissions for medical necessity
• Active RN license in MO or IL, with the application for the second license initiated after job offer if only one is held
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing
• Must reside within one hour of the designated location and have high-speed internet access
