Missouri Licensed Utilization Review Nurse

Job Summary

To support a stable work-from-home team, the full-time Missouri Licensed Utilization Review Nurse will evaluate hospital admissions for medical necessity, utilizing clinical skills and Interqual Criteria, while working Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm with occasional Sunday shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret diagnostic test results to assess the appropriateness of patients' levels of care
• Determine level of care for elective inpatient hospitalizations using Interqual Criteria
• Educate medical providers on the appropriate and cost-effective use of healthcare resources

Required qualifications

• Active Missouri or Illinois RN license
• 2 years of RN experience with hospitalized patients
• 2 years of Utilization Review experience
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing
• Must reside within one hour of the BJC Commons in St. Louis, MO
