Key responsibilities
- Process workers' compensation claims, determining compensability and coordinating medical treatment within jurisdictional guidelines
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing support and training to various departments regarding workers' compensation implications
- Maintain financial reserves on claims and coordinate legal activities associated with assigned cases to ensure compliance with self-insured status
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years of experience in workers' compensation
- Familiarity with Missouri and Illinois workers' compensation regulations
- Ability to process complex cases and negotiate settlements
- Experience in legal and medical terminology related to work-related injuries
