ML Applied Scientist

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced ML Applied Scientist, the full-time remote position will focus on building and scaling automated evaluation and synthetic data generation capabilities to support safety assessments across languages and markets.

Key responsibilities

• Train, fine-tune, and validate automated judge models for scoring AI system outputs on safety and policy compliance
• Design and implement validation frameworks to assess the accuracy and consistency of automated evaluation systems across markets
• Develop and maintain synthetic data generation pipelines to enhance evaluation coverage and support low-resource languages

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in ML engineering or applied ML research with hands-on experience in building and deploying ML models
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
• Experience with training and evaluating language models and classifiers, including prompt engineering
• Familiarity with synthetic data generation techniques and multilingual NLP
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or a related field
