ML Scientist

Job Summary

As a core research contributor, the full-time ML Scientist will design and train large-scale foundation models on multimodal biological datasets, collaborating with biologists and research scientists in a remote-friendly environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and train large-scale foundation models on multimodal biological datasets, including genomics and transcriptomics
• Collaborate with computational biologists and domain experts to translate biological questions into modeling problems
• Drive the full research lifecycle, including hypothesis formation, experimental design, model development, and analysis of results

Required qualifications

• PhD in machine learning, computational biology, statistics, physics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent industry research experience
• Demonstrated ability to build and train models end-to-end, including experimental analysis
• First-author publications at top ML, AI, or computational biology venues
• Deep familiarity with foundation model concepts such as pretraining and self-supervised learning
• Comfort working at the intersection of biology and machine learning
