Job Summary
To support the development of advanced AI inference systems, the full-time remote Modeling and Simulation Engineer will build simulation infrastructure, develop analytical performance models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient modeling of workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop analytical models of inference workloads to evaluate performance metrics and identify bottlenecks
- Build and extend functional and timing models of hardware components, ensuring alignment with production software
- Collaborate with hardware and software architects to maintain consistency in simulator behavior and interfaces
Required Qualifications
- Strong software engineering skills in C++ or Rust, with experience in building simulators or performance models
- Deep understanding of computer architecture, including processors and memory hierarchies
- Experience in designing models with goals for fidelity and execution speed
- Strong quantitative reasoning skills to translate workload behavior into models
- Ability to integrate complex software systems and maintain effective tools for engineering teams
