Monitoring & Observability Engineer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Monitoring & Observability Engineer to join their IT operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain observability frameworks for SAS applications, on-prem systems, and linux databases
- Implement and manage monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or Dynatrace
- Monitor system health and performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations, observability, or monitoring roles
- Hands-on experience with SAS (Base, EG, Viya) in enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of mainframe systems and on-prem infrastructure
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools
