Job Summary
To support effective claims handling, the full-time salaried Montana Licensed Claims Specialist will investigate, evaluate, and settle workers' compensation claims promptly and fairly while working remotely from Montana.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate and evaluate claims by reviewing information and contacting involved parties to gather necessary details
- Prepare reports on investigations, settlements, and claim denials, and establish reserves within authority limits
- Assist the Claims Team Leader in developing process improvements and handle claims settlements equitably
Required qualifications
- Six or more years of experience handling workers' compensation claims
- Knowledge of company products, services, coverages, policy limits, and claims best practices
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Preference for candidates with experience in California or Montana workers' compensation claims
- An applicable resident or designated home state adjuster's license is required
