Job Summary

To support patient financial needs, the full-time Montana Licensed Patient Financial Counselor will assist patients with financial clearance, payment collection, and eligibility determinations for financial assistance programs in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage patient accounts by providing financial clearance and collecting payments
  • Identify eligibility and assist patients in completing applications for state and federal sponsorship programs
  • Educate patients on financial assistance options available through Providence St. Joseph Health
Required qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare business office
  • 3 years of experience or proven success as a Patient Financial Advocate Associate, preferably with Providence St. Joseph Health or its Affiliates
  • 2 years of experience in an automated, computerized account follow-up system, preferably in Epic
