Montana Wind Technician

Job Summary

To support the growth of onshore wind power, the full-time Wind Technician in Montana will perform maintenance and repairs on wind turbine equipment, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and collaborate with site leadership while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Execute contractual obligations related to the maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment in wind turbine generators
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on turbines
• Document all work performed and communicate with GE's remote operations center as needed

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience as a Wind Technician or completion of a Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy
• Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment
• Basic computer skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to handle physical demands, including climbing towers up to 300 feet
