Mortgage Closer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Mortgage Closer will prepare mortgage closing documents, ensure accuracy of essential information, and communicate with internal staff and settlement agents to resolve closing issues efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and follow all closing procedures to comply with federal and state requirements
• Prepare accurate figures for monthly payments, escrows, and closing disclosures while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Maintain a closing pipeline, completing documents within specified timeframes and acting as the point of contact throughout the closing process

Required qualifications

• 5 years' experience in preparing mortgage loan closing documents, preferred
• Knowledge of multiple investors' closing policies and procedures
• Familiarity with RESPA, TILA, Fair Lending, Flood, and state laws and regulations, preferred
• Experience with Encompass, preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
