Mortgage Collections Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Customer Outreach Specialist I to manage delinquent mortgage loans by contacting borrowers in early stages of default.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate contact with consumers in early stages of mortgage loan default to collect past due payments
• Assess consumer financial information and arrange repayment plans as necessary
• Handle inbound calls regarding mortgage loan products and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations

Required Qualifications

• A combined 2 years' higher education and/or relevant work experience
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally over the phone
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
• Excellent customer service skills
• Collections experience preferred
