Mortgage Collections Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Customer Outreach Specialist I responsible for collecting on delinquent mortgage loans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiate contact with consumers in early stages of mortgage loan default to collect past due payments
• Assess consumer's financial situation, identify solutions, and arrange repayment plans
• Handle inbound calls regarding mortgage loan products and maintain compliance with state-specific regulations

Required Qualifications:

• A combined 2 years' higher education and/or relevant work experience
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
• Collections experience preferred
• Knowledge of internal systems is beneficial
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally over the phone
