Mortgage Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Collecting payments on assigned delinquent accounts, the full-time Mortgage Collections Specialist will review documentation, contact customers via phone and written correspondence, and arrange repayment schedules while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers to collect payments on delinquent accounts and negotiate repayment plans
• Review account documentation to assess payment history and identify collection strategies
• Minimize organizational loss by effectively managing delinquent accounts and maintaining customer relationships

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year of experience in collections and/or customer service activities
• Some knowledge of loan collection policies, fair debt collection practices, and related laws
• 12 months of call center or collections experience
• Mortgage experience highly preferred
