Mortgage Compliance Counsel

Job Summary

Supporting the company's compliance management program, the full-time remote Mortgage Compliance Counsel will provide legal analysis and guidance on federal and state regulatory requirements, ensuring adherence to compliance operations across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on compliance risks and issues to support mortgage origination compliance and operations
• Assist with the development of solutions for regulatory findings and provide legal support for post-close suspense items
• Draft policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mortgage lending compliance
• Knowledge of federal and state mortgage lending regulations, including Dodd Frank, QM/ATR, RESPA, and TILA
• Experience supporting compliance programs in the mortgage lending industry
• High level of integrity and ethical conduct
