Mortgage Compliance Counsel
Job Summary
Supporting the company's compliance management program, the full-time remote Mortgage Compliance Counsel will provide legal analysis and guidance on federal and state regulatory requirements while collaborating with various departments to ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide legal guidance on compliance risks and issues related to mortgage origination
- Assist in developing solutions for regulatory findings and support responses to regulatory inquiries
- Draft policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
Required qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school
- 3-5 years of experience in mortgage lending compliance
- Knowledge of federal and state mortgage lending regulations, including Dodd Frank and RESPA
- Experience supporting compliance programs in the mortgage lending industry
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct
