Mortgage Licensing Specialist

Job Summary

Managing the end-to-end licensing process for Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs), the full-time remote Mortgage Licensing Specialist will ensure timely and accurate NMLS filings, track compliance with education and testing requirements, and serve as the primary contact for licensing inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of MLO licensing within the NMLS, including new applications and renewals
• Monitor MLO pre-licensing education, testing, and background checks to ensure compliance with state requirements
• Maintain accurate records of MLO licenses and provide clear communication regarding licensing inquiries

Required qualifications

• Knowledge of mortgage licensing, renewal, and continuing education requirements
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and good judgment
• High-speed internet connection suitable for remote work
• Experience in customer service and communication with MLOs is a plus
