Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant
Job Summary
To support applicants in becoming mortgage-ready, the full-time Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant will accurately prequalify home loan applications, issue and manage pre-approval letters, and ensure timely loan closings while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Contact borrowers within 24 hours of initial loan consultation requests and review their qualifications
- Accurately pre-approve eligible borrowers and handle payment-scenario requests
- Ensure 95%+ of loans close on time by managing the loan pipeline and resolving issues proactively
Required qualifications
- Strong understanding of the 4 C's of underwriting: cash, credit, capacity (income), and collateral
- Experience in the mortgage industry or related financial services field
- Ability to communicate effectively with borrowers and Realtor partners
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Resourcefulness to solve problems before they escalate
