Mortgage Loan Processor

Job Summary

Managing a pipeline of mortgage loans, the remote Mortgage Loan Processor will serve as the primary contact for borrowers, reviewing and requesting necessary documents for underwriting while ensuring compliance with guidelines and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Process loan files from opening to closing, acting as the main point of contact for all parties involved
• Assemble necessary loan documents to meet underwriting guidelines and conduct follow-up communications with borrowers
• Review documents for accuracy and completeness, performing data validation and maintaining updated notes in the system

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience
• 2+ years of mortgage processing experience preferred
• Experience with Empower or other mortgage loan applications
• Knowledge of mortgage concepts, practices, and Fannie/Freddie guidelines
