Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter - Temporary (Remote-US).

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrites mortgage loan files in compliance with guidelines and regulations
• Reviews loan data for integrity and monitors the mortgage pipeline for efficiency
• Collaborates with vendors and supports management requests related to audits and reporting

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of four years of experience in a credit union, bank, or financial institution
• Detailed knowledge of secondary market guidelines and some regulatory knowledge
• Compliance with SAFE Act requirements for Mortgage Loan Originators
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with loan origination systems, preferably Encompass
