Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter responsible for evaluating mortgage loans for compliance with standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite residential mortgage loans according to product and investor guidelines
• Ensure compliance with investor requirements, federal and state laws
• Perform risk assessments of credit and collateral to maintain loan saleability

Required Qualifications:

• Associates degree or 2 years of relevant experience
• Three years of mortgage processing or underwriting experience
• Understanding of investor guidelines and ability to interpret AUS findings
• Knowledge of federal registration requirements under the SAFE Act
• Experience in resolving post-closing issues related to loan saleability
