Job Summary
A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter to analyze and evaluate residential loan applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate residential loan applications in accordance with industry standards
- Gather, analyze, and interpret credit information to maximize credit and minimize risk
- Approve or deny loans within limits and make credit structure and loan eligibility decisions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of mortgage underwriting experience
- Thorough understanding of factors affecting real estate values and credit analysis
- Experience with various loan types including Agency, HFA, Bond, Portfolio, and Jumbo
