Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

Mortgage Underwriter is a full-time position responsible for reviewing and approving mortgage applications, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accuracy in underwriting decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Decide on a full range of mortgage loans, including FHA loans
• Review mortgage applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Work with compliance officers to ensure adherence to mortgage and loan regulations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of mortgage underwriting experience
• Solid knowledge of mortgage underwriting and automated underwriting systems
• Knowledge of mortgage laws and regulations, including the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act
• Familiarity with state and federal agency mortgage loan guidelines and regulations
