Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

To maintain the loan cycle, the full-time Mortgage Underwriter will evaluate and determine eligibility of loan applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agency/investor guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate and verify loan applications, analyzing documentation to make sound loan decisions
• Review mortgage applications to approve, suspend, or deny loans within lending authority
• Calculate income for various income types and ensure property appraisals meet guidelines

Required qualifications:

• 5 years of Mortgage Underwriting experience
• Experience with conventional, FHA, USDA, and VA loans
• 5 years of experience using Encompass software
