Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Mortgage Underwriter will analyze loan files for compliance with company and investor guidelines, underwrite residential mortgage loans, and maintain productivity standards while assisting with training new underwriters.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analyses of loan files to ensure compliance with guidelines
- Underwrite credit packages and collateral for residential mortgage loans, ensuring investment quality
- Maintain underwriting activity logs and provide monthly reports to the underwriting manager
Required qualifications
- Minimum three years of mortgage underwriting experience with knowledge of underwriting guidelines
- Experience with private investor and private mortgage insurance guidelines
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Technological proficiency
