Mortgage Underwriter - Florida Licensed

Job Summary

To ensure compliance with investor guidelines, the remote Mortgage Underwriter - Florida Licensed will review mortgage applications, make timely decisions on approvals or denials, and collaborate with clients and compliance officers to resolve issues.

Key responsibilities

• Review mortgage applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Make decisions on a full range of mortgage loans, including FHA loans
• Work with compliance officers to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of mortgage underwriting experience required
• Solid knowledge of mortgage laws and regulations, including the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act
• Proficiency with basic automated underwriting systems
• Knowledge of state and federal agency mortgage loan guidelines and regulations is helpful
