Mortgage Underwriter III

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter III - Non-Delegated Mortgage.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite conventional loans by reviewing credit, capacity, and collateral characteristics to meet quality standards
• Manage individual pipeline by completing various underwriting tasks and identifying document deficiencies
• Assist department personnel with guideline interpretation and provide updates to clients on loan conditions

Required Qualifications

• Encompass LOS experience preferred
• Loan quality and risk management experience
• Knowledge of FNMA and FHLMC guidelines
• Proficiency with automated underwriting systems such as Desktop Underwriter and Loan Product Advisor
• Project management experience preferred
