Mortgage Underwriter III

Job Summary

Managing a pipeline of conventional loans, the full-time salaried Mortgage Underwriter III will review credit, capacity, and collateral characteristics to ensure compliance with company and investor quality standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Complete underwriting reviews and manage a pipeline of Conventional and Non-Agency loans within established turn times
• Identify document deficiencies and request additional information from clients as necessary
• Assist department personnel in interpreting underwriting guidelines and provide updates on loan status

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in the mortgage industry or residential mortgage loan underwriting
• High school diploma required
• Advanced knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office products and Encompass
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory compliance obligations and industry standards
