Mortgage Underwriter Non-QM Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter (Non-QM Specialist) to evaluate risk and ensure quality credit decisions in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive reviews of loan applications and related documentation for accuracy
• Classify and qualify loans according to guidelines, conducting tests for sound business decisions
• Identify creative solutions for challenging files to achieve viable credit decisions

Qualifications:

• 4-6 years of mortgage experience, with at least 4+ years in residential underwriting
• Specific experience with Non-QM products and manual underwriting policies is required
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency in Encompass and fraud-detection tools is highly preferred
• A dedicated, quiet home workspace with high-speed internet is necessary
