Job Summary

Leading the daily operations of the underwriting team, the remote Mortgage Underwriting Manager will manage personnel, oversee underwriting decisions, and ensure compliance while driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the underwriting department's personnel, including training, hiring, and setting operational goals
• Establish and enforce underwriting metrics to balance loan file quality and service levels
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and maintain regulatory compliance

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Mortgage Underwriter or in a related position
• 1+ years of supervisory experience
• Advanced manual underwriting skills with independent decision-making ability
• Proven ability to manage time-sensitive and high-complexity pipelines
• High School Diploma or GED required
