Motion Designer

Job Summary

Joining a dynamic design team, the full-time Motion Designer will create and animate graphics for video programming and social media, collaborating closely with editorial and video teams in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and animate graphics for daily and weekly video programming, including show packages and transitions
• Animate assets for social platforms, translating complex market information into engaging short-form content
• Collaborate with the Creative Director and fellow designers on larger creative initiatives, advocating for quality and consistency in motion design

Required qualifications

• A strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics work in a video, broadcast, or editorial context
• Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, with strong working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
• Solid grasp of design fundamentals including typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy
• Experience building motion templates and working within established brand systems
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced newsroom environment, managing multiple projects against tight deadlines
